Lisa Mesmer is a licensed Maryland Physical Therapist with more than 36 years of experience helping people move with greater comfort, confidence, and independence. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Throughout her career, Lisa has worked with patients across a wide range of settings, including outpatient and inpatient care, acute and subacute rehabilitation, pediatrics, and home health. She brings a broad depth of clinical experience to each patient she works with, taking the time to understand their individual needs, goals, and challenges.
For the past 20 years, Lisa has focused primarily on orthopedic rehabilitation, with advanced training in the treatment of cervical and lumbar spine conditions, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), shoulder and knee injuries, and recovery following total joint replacement. She also has experience working with individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, helping them improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence in their daily lives.
Lisa combines hands-on manual techniques with movement re-education and therapeutic exercise to create personalized treatment plans that meet each person where they are. Her approach is compassionate, encouraging, and focused on helping patients make meaningful progress—whether that means reducing pain, improving mobility, regaining independence, or returning to the activities they love.
Lisa’s goal is simple: to help you feel better, move better, and get back to doing what matters most.
